Cappadocia to Fethiye
This seven-day private tour turns the distance between Cappadocia and Fethiye into part of the experience rather than treating it as a transfer. The route crosses Central Anatolia and the Taurus Mountains before reaching the Mediterranean, including a private coastal passage from Çıralı toward Kaş and one night aboard the boat. Archaeology and cultural heritage shape the first days, while nature, swimming, and coastal life gradually take over as the route moves south.
The itinerary follows a natural southbound line, using meaningful cultural stops to divide the longest overland sections. Çatalhöyük and Eşrefoğlu Mosque introduce the historical depth of Central Anatolia. Sagalassos and Termessos then carry the route into the high landscapes of the Taurus Mountains before Antalya, avoiding both backtracking and empty transfer days.
From the Anatolian Plateau to the Mediterranean
Arrival in Antalya marks a deliberate change of pace. Time in Kaleiçi and Göynük Canyon is followed by Olympos Ancient City in the late afternoon, when the rhythm becomes calmer before continuing to nearby Çıralı.
From here, the road is left behind for a full day. A private boat carries the route toward Kaş, with lunch on board, swimming stops in selected bays, and an overnight stay at sea. Using the coastline itself as part of the route avoids another long driving day and creates a natural transition between the more cultural first half of the tour and the Mediterranean experiences that follow.
The Lycian Coast at a Slower Pace
After arriving in Kaş, private transportation resumes through Patara and Kalkan toward the Fethiye region. Archaeology remains part of the itinerary, but the daily program becomes progressively lighter as more time is reserved for the coast and outdoors.
The choice of stops is deliberate. Butterfly Valley is treated primarily as a panoramic sightseeing stop, while dedicated swimming and beach time is reserved for Ölüdeniz, where the setting and facilities allow for a more comfortable afternoon followed by sunset. The final evening continues at Fethiye Fish Market, bringing the route to a close with a characteristic local dining experience.

Itinerary
Day 1
After breakfast, meet your private guide at your hotel in Cappadocia and begin the drive across Central Anatolia.
The first visit is Çatalhöyük, one of the world’s earliest known settlements and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the archaeological site with your guide and learn how its communities lived more than 9,000 years ago.
After the visit, stop for lunch before continuing toward Beyşehir.
In the afternoon, visit Eşrefoğlu Mosque, a UNESCO-listed 13th-century mosque known for its wooden columns, timber roof, and exceptional Seljuk craftsmanship.
Continue through the lake district to Eğirdir, where the day ends beside one of Türkiye’s largest freshwater lakes.
Overnight in Eğirdir.
Day 2
After breakfast, depart from Eğirdir and travel south toward the Taurus Mountains.
The first visit is Sagalassos Ancient City, a remarkably preserved mountain settlement overlooking the valleys of southwestern Anatolia. Explore the Upper Agora, Antonine Fountain, Roman Baths, and other major remains while learning about the city’s development during the Roman period.
Stop for lunch before continuing toward Antalya.
In the afternoon, visit Termessos Ancient City, dramatically positioned high in the Taurus Mountains. Follow the mountain trail through the ruins to the theater and other surviving structures, with wide views across the surrounding landscape.
Continue to Antalya and check into your hotel in Kaleiçi, the historic old town.
Overnight in Antalya.
Day 3
After breakfast, begin the morning with a relaxed walk through Kaleiçi, Antalya’s historic old town. Explore its narrow streets and old harbor area, with time for a coffee before leaving the city.
Continue along the Mediterranean coast to Göynük Canyon. Spend time walking through the canyon and enjoying its mountain scenery, clear water, and forested surroundings.
After lunch, travel south toward Olympos Ancient City.
Explore Olympos in the late afternoon, when the temperature begins to soften and the archaeological site takes on a quieter atmosphere. Walk through the remains of the ancient Lycian city before continuing toward the nearby coast around sunset.
The day ends in Çıralı, a small Mediterranean village between the mountains and the sea.

Day 4
After breakfast, depart from Çıralı and board your private boat for a full day along the Mediterranean coast.
Cruise west toward Kaş, following a quieter section of the Lycian coastline that is best experienced from the sea. The day is deliberately relaxed, with swimming stops in selected bays and time to enjoy the water away from the busier beaches.
Lunch is served on board during the cruise.
The afternoon continues at an easy pace, with additional swimming stops depending on sea and weather conditions. There is no fixed sightseeing schedule today, allowing more time for the coastline, the sea, and life on board.
As evening approaches, the boat anchors in a suitable bay for the night.

Day 5
Wake up on the Mediterranean and enjoy breakfast on board as the private boat approaches Kaş.
After arriving in Kaş, meet your private vehicle and continue along the Lycian coast toward Patara Ancient City.
Explore Patara, one of the most important cities of ancient Lycia. Walk through the main archaeological area, including the Roman theater, ancient parliament building, colonnaded street, and other remains that reflect the city’s political and maritime importance.
After the visit, stop for lunch before continuing to Kalkan.
Arrive in Kalkan in the afternoon and enjoy the remainder of the day at your own pace. The old town, small harbor, cafés, and waterfront provide a relaxed end to the day after the previous night’s boat experience.
Overnight in Kalkan.
Day 6
After breakfast, depart from Kalkan and continue toward Saklıkent Canyon.
Spend the morning exploring Saklıkent, walking through the cool river passage between its steep canyon walls. The route can be adjusted according to water conditions and your preferred activity level.
Continue toward the coast and stop at the panoramic viewpoint above Butterfly Valley. Take time to enjoy the view across the bay and surrounding cliffs before continuing for lunch.
The afternoon is reserved for Ölüdeniz Beach, with time to swim, relax by the sea, and enjoy the coastline at an unhurried pace.
Stay in Ölüdeniz for sunset before continuing to Fethiye for dinner at the Fethiye Fish Market, where fresh seafood can be selected from local fishmongers and prepared at one of the surrounding restaurants.
After dinner, return to your hotel.
Overnight in Ölüdeniz.
Day 7
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before check-out.
At the scheduled time, your private driver will meet you at the hotel for the transfer from Ölüdeniz to Dalaman Airport.
The tour concludes upon arrival at the airport.

Fantastic tour, A mixture of sights, culture, and Cappadocian hospitality. The tour I did was customised to a 4 day tour adding elements from the range of tours offered by the company. My Tour leader Nisa or “B” as I called her was a local and it made such a difference. We were able to dodge around the crowds as she knew local shortcuts and people. We were able to meet and eat with the locals and enjoy their hospitality. We went off the beaten tourist track sometimes, and when the weather didn’t quite play nice, we adjusted accordingly. One of the greatest moments was drinking tea with one of the cavehouse owners and also having a lunch with a local couple. “B” has great suggestions for places to go to watch the sunset and also local restaurants. We went to local market and a stall keeper had me trying my haggling skills to sell him something!! It was more like visiting family and seeing the sights than going on a small tour! Our driver was efficient and safe and the van was immaculate. I will be back!

When we arrived in cappadocia, we didn’t have many plans. We had an airport pickup and just wanted to see the balloons. In spite of the balloons being cancelled both days we were there, Buket made our experience an unforgettable one. We were a group of 15, and that is like herding cats, but Buket made us feel special and taken care of like kids of her own. We have unforgettable memories and amazing photos. We did both the green line and red line tours with her. We also loved the ATV experience , that was the peak. She is very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the past and the culture of the area. I would recommend her again and again.
