Ephesus to Pamukkale is a three-day private itinerary for travelers who want to experience the archaeological highlights of the Aegean without turning the trip into a series of hotel changes and rushed transfers. Şirince remains the base throughout the tour, while the program connects Ephesus, Kuşadası, Hierapolis, and Pamukkale with local food, regional wine culture, and time along the Aegean coast.

One Base, Three Distinct Days
Staying in Şirince reduces repeated packing, check-ins, and hotel changes while giving the tour a consistent base. It also allows the first day to begin at a comfortable pace after arrival at İzmir Airport, with a local cooking experience and a sunset cruise rather than a full sightseeing schedule.
The second day is centred on Ephesus Ancient City and the Terrace Houses. The House of the Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis, and Basilica of St. John complete the historical route, while a vineyard visit introduces the agricultural traditions and wine culture of the Aegean. Archaeology Balanced with Aegean Life
The final day is dedicated to Hierapolis and Pamukkale. Entering Hierapolis from the northern side allows the site to unfold gradually, beginning with the necropolis and continuing through the ancient city before reaching the museum, thermal landscape, and travertines.
Pamukkale requires the longest overland section of the tour. For this reason, additional village, craftsmanship, or regional wine experiences are included only when they suit the guest’s preferred pace and available time.
Evening access to Ephesus can also be considered when night museum operations are available. In this case, the daytime program is adjusted so that the evening visit adds a different perspective rather than repeating the same route.

Itinerary
Day 1
Day 2
After breakfast, meet your private guide at your hotel in Şirince and begin the day at Ephesus Ancient City.
Explore the city’s major monuments and the Terrace Houses, where preserved mosaics, frescoes, and residential spaces provide a closer look at everyday life in Roman Ephesus.
Continue to the House of the Virgin Mary, followed by the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the Basilica of St. John in Selçuk.
After the cultural visits, continue to Vineyard for a wine tasting and time to enjoy the surrounding Aegean countryside.
Return to Şirince in the evening.
Overnight in Şirince.
Optional: An evening visit to Ephesus can be arranged when night museum access is available.
Day 3
After breakfast, meet your private guide at the hotel and depart for Hierapolis and Pamukkale.
Enter Hierapolis Ancient City from the North Gate and begin with the Necropolis, before continuing through the ancient city toward the monumental gate, agora, and Roman Theatre. This route allows the archaeological site to unfold naturally from north to south.
Take a break around the Cleopatra Antique Pool before visiting the Hierapolis Archaeology Museum.
Complete the visit at the Pamukkale Travertines, with time to walk through the thermal landscape and enjoy the views across the valley.
Stop for lunch before returning to Şirince.
Overnight in Şirince.
Optional: The day can be extended with a visit to An Agean Village and an additional local wine tasting, depending on your preferred pace.

Where does the tour start and end?
The tour begins with a private pickup from İzmir Airport and is based in Şirince for three nights. The final day returns to Şirince after the Pamukkale and Hierapolis visit. Additional transfers can be arranged according to your onward travel plans.

Is wine tasting included, and can non-drinkers join?
The vineyard experience can include a guided tasting of locally produced wines. Travelers who do not drink alcohol can still enjoy the vineyard setting, and alternative refreshments can be requested.
How much walking is involved?
The tour includes moderate walking, particularly at Ephesus, Hierapolis, and the Pamukkale Travertines. Ancient sites have uneven stone surfaces, and comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended. The pace can be adjusted where possible.
Can we visit Ephesus at night?
An evening visit can be added when Ephesus Night Museum access is operating and tickets are available. The daytime itinerary can be adjusted accordingly to avoid unnecessary repetition.
Can Buldan Village be added to the Pamukkale day?
Yes. Buldan Village can be added as an optional extension depending on your preferred pace and available time. An additional local wine experience can also be considered when designing the final program.

Fantastic tour, A mixture of sights, culture, and Cappadocian hospitality. The tour I did was customised to a 4 day tour adding elements from the range of tours offered by the company. My Tour leader Nisa or “B” as I called her was a local and it made such a difference. We were able to dodge around the crowds as she knew local shortcuts and people. We were able to meet and eat with the locals and enjoy their hospitality. We went off the beaten tourist track sometimes, and when the weather didn’t quite play nice, we adjusted accordingly. One of the greatest moments was drinking tea with one of the cavehouse owners and also having a lunch with a local couple. “B” has great suggestions for places to go to watch the sunset and also local restaurants. We went to local market and a stall keeper had me trying my haggling skills to sell him something!! It was more like visiting family and seeing the sights than going on a small tour! Our driver was efficient and safe and the van was immaculate. I will be back!

When we arrived in cappadocia, we didn’t have many plans. We had an airport pickup and just wanted to see the balloons. In spite of the balloons being cancelled both days we were there, Buket made our experience an unforgettable one. We were a group of 15, and that is like herding cats, but Buket made us feel special and taken care of like kids of her own. We have unforgettable memories and amazing photos. We did both the green line and red line tours with her. We also loved the ATV experience , that was the peak. She is very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the past and the culture of the area. I would recommend her again and again.
